AIP:Aero is a free, login-free pre-flight reference for pilots: official AIP and approach chart links, weather, NOTAMs and aerodrome data for 60 countries. We are open for cooperations - here are three ways to work with us.
Who we are
AIP:Aero helps pilots find any aerodrome by name or ICAO code and takes them straight to the official AIP publication, approach and VFR charts, plus embedded weather (METAR/TAF), a 5-day meteogram, NOTAMs and aerodrome data (runways, frequencies, elevation, fuel, opening hours). It is free and needs no registration, and it covers 60 countries across Europe, the Caucasus, Central Asia and Oceania. The site is a project of Dross:Media; its sister project is the aircraft marketplace Trade:Aero.
For EFB apps, flight-planning tools and data teams: AIP:Aero’s structured aerodrome data is available over a read-only JSON API. What we expose is not the raw data - most of which is open - but the aggregation: one normalized index across 60 countries, chart-PDF deep links, and AIRAC currency you do not have to maintain yourself.
What you get
- The normalized aerodrome index per country (ICAO, name, type).
- Direct AIP and approach/VFR chart links, incl. per-chart PDF deep links, with the current AIRAC cycle.
- Aerodrome facts: coordinates, elevation, runways (incl. circuit direction), frequencies, declared distances, operating hours, fuel availability, PPR, customs and on-field restaurants.
- Fuel prices (AVGAS / MOGAS / Jet A-1, per litre and US gallon).
- Live NOTAMs, METAR/TAF and a 5-day forecast.

AIP:Aero ranks at or near the top of search for aerodrome and “ICAO charts” queries across thousands of aerodrome detail pages in 60 countries, and country pages that win “AIP <country>” searches. The site is also built for GEO - it ships extensive structured data (Airport, FAQ, Dataset, Breadcrumb) and a /llms.txt summary, so it surfaces in AI assistants where login-gated portals structurally cannot.
If your product is topically adjacent to pre-flight planning, we can place a contextual, followed link from the matching aerodrome or country pages. This is editorial placement - relevant and useful to pilots - not a reciprocal link exchange.
AIP:Aero reaches an engaged general-aviation audience of pilots at the moment they plan a flight. The site currently shows no advertising, but we are open to brand sponsorships and advertising partnerships that fit our audience.
